Install Linux Apache Server with this scenario, keep security and secure configurations in mind.
Apache: Location (DMZ), Support SSL, Allow HTTP File Sharing
Assume:
- Centos 4.4
- TCPWrappers? (If Applicable)
- IPTABLES
Patched to Current
Standard Build / Software
No Automated configuration tools may be used.
Step-By-Step Documentation should be created to show how these configurations and servers are setup.
The Documentation should be easy enough for grandma to use.
Question & Answer Session will follow the Group Presentation.
Digital copy must contain a copy of changed files; ie configuration files, etc..
Must be able to Download files using SSL with HTTPS.
[ ] Install Centos 4.4 + Update to Latest.
[ ] Install Apache Webserver
[X] Test working Apache2 + Openssl works
[ ] All Pages must be HTTPS file downloads should be HTTPS (Test with Wireshark)
[ ] Apply a Secure, but functional Configuration to the apache.conf configuration file.
[ ] Implement IPTABLES Filters for the Host Allowing 22, 80, 443.
[ ] Bastionize the Host.
[ ] Create the Presentation/Website to display our documentation and changed configuration files etc.
[ ] Convert the Presentation into several formats for compatibility.
[ ] Review the documentation and test that it is working correctly.
